Chat Rules

These Chat Rules apply to all users of Chat-Web.co.uk and form part of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By accessing or participating in chat rooms, you agree to follow these rules.
The purpose of these rules is to maintain a safe, respectful, and lawful environment for all users across the Chat-Web network.
1. Eligibility & Age Requirement
Chat-Web is intended for users aged 16 years and older. Users who are under the required age, or who misrepresent their age, may be removed without notice.
2. General Conduct Expectations
You are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly when using Chat-Web. This includes treating other users with courtesy and avoiding behaviour that disrupts the community.
3. Prohibited Behaviour
The following behaviour is strictly prohibited on Chat-Web:
- Harassment, intimidation, threats, or targeted abuse
- Hate speech or content targeting protected groups
- Encouraging or engaging in illegal activity
- Sharing another person’s personal information without consent
- Impersonation of staff, moderators, or other users
- Spam, flooding, scams, phishing, or deceptive practices
- Malware, malicious links, exploits, or automated abuse
- Attempts to bypass bans, filters, or moderation systems
4. Zero-Tolerance Content
Chat-Web enforces a zero-tolerance policy for the following content:
- Sexual content involving minors
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Content promoting violence against minors
- Human trafficking or exploitation
Any such content may be preserved and reported to appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable law.
5. Sexual, Explicit, and Sensitive Content
Chat-Web is a general chat platform. Sexualised, explicit, or graphic content may be restricted or removed depending on the room, context, and applicable rules.
Moderators may take action where content is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe for the platform.
6. Usernames & Nicknames
Usernames and nicknames must not:
- Imply affiliation with staff or moderation
- Contain hate speech or slurs
- Reference illegal activity
- Be intentionally deceptive or abusive
Inappropriate usernames may be changed, blocked, or removed.
7. Privacy & Personal Safety
Do not share personal or sensitive information in chat rooms, including addresses, phone numbers, financial details, or login credentials.
Chat-Web is not responsible for information you voluntarily disclose to other users.
8. Moderation & Enforcement
Chat-Web and its service providers actively moderate chat rooms to enforce these rules and maintain platform safety.
Enforcement actions may include:
- Warnings or guidance
- Message removal
- Temporary restrictions or mutes
- Room or network bans
- Technical access restrictions
Moderation decisions are made at our discretion and may be applied without prior notice.
9. Reporting Rule Violations
Users are encouraged to report behaviour that violates these rules or appears unsafe. Where available, use built-in reporting tools or contact us directly.
Reports should include relevant details such as usernames, room names, and approximate timestamps.
10. Relationship to Other Policies
These Chat Rules should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Use will take precedence.
11. Updates to These Rules
These Chat Rules may be updated periodically to reflect changes in platform operations, legal requirements, or safety standards.
Continued use of Chat-Web after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised rules.
